Ever wanted to work on your own AEG but didn’t know where to start?
Maybe you’ve watched videos, looked at exploded diagrams, or thought about opening a gearbox—but didn’t want to risk messing something up.
We’re going to change that.
This November, Shrike Airsoft is planning a hands-on beginner V2 Gearbox Tech Course at the store in Midland.
This isn’t about watching someone else do the work.
You’re going to do it yourself.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
We’ll start with the fundamentals and work through a V2 gearbox together:
• Understanding what the major components do
• Proper and safe disassembly
• Identifying and inspecting components
• Understanding the compression system
• Gear and drivetrain basics
• Lubrication
• Common V2 gearbox problems
• Troubleshooting
• Correct reassembly
• Understanding what to check when something isn’t working properly
We’ll also discuss upgrades and different ways of improving a gearbox, but the priority is learning the fundamentals and becoming comfortable working on your own equipment.
DESIGNED FOR BEGINNERS
No previous gearbox experience required.
You don’t have to be an airsoft tech.
You don’t have to know the difference between every component before you walk through the door.
We’ll start at the beginning and work through it together.
YOUR OWN GEARBOX TO WORK ON
Each participant will receive a:
Raven Evolution Elite Series V2 Gearbox with ETG
- You’ll use your gearbox throughout the course and take it home when you’re finished.
- You’ll also receive a precision screwdriver set to take home and continue learning with.
So you’re not just leaving with information.
You’re leaving with the equipment you learned on and the tools to keep going.

Approximately 4 hours
We’ll allow additional time when needed. The goal isn’t to rush through the material because the clock says four hours. The goal is for you to understand what you’re doing.
8 students maximum
If we have enough interest for more than 8 people, we’ll open a second group.
$349 + HST

We want to help build a local community where players can learn, share knowledge, work on their equipment and become more confident in the hobby.
This course is one step toward that.
